Come learn from your upperclassmen's advice, and come re-discover the hidden treasure-trove of pharmacy knowledge that we have stashed in Dr. Ignoffo! Bring your questions and come learn about future career paths.

Robert Ignoffo, PharmD is an institution of pharmacy with decades of experience in health-system pharmacy. He is currently a full professor at Touro University, and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy at the University of California San Francisco. He has taught and cared for patients at the UCSF-Mt Zion Cancer Center and at Mt Zion Hospital. Dr. Ignoffo received his Pharm.D. degree and completed a one year clinical practice residency at UCSF from 1967-1972. He developed several clerkships in oncology at various sites associated with UCSF. Bob has been practicing oncology for many years and serves on several national advisory boards, including the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. He has written numerous articles and published two books, “Mosby's Oncology Drug Reference” & “Cancer Chemotherapy Pocket Guide”. He is a referee for several professional journals including AJHP, Annals of Pharmacotherapy, and Cancer Practice. He has served as an officer for the both the American and California Society of Health System Pharmacists and was awarded fellowship status in both organizations. He is past president of the Golden Gate Society of Health System Pharmacists. His research interests include Cytoprotectants for chemotherapy, symptom management, and quality of life.

 

Diane Nguyen is soon to be an institution in pharmacy, currently an overachieving fourth-year student, part of Touro’s charter class, and has been intimately involved in events at Touro throughout her time here.
