This is the only event of its kind so far in Northern California. To avoid going to Southern California to have a chance to have face-time with these Allergan fellows, come to this event. Allergan likes to stay at its "home base" on the campus of the University of Southern California, so this is unprecedented.
UCSF's CSHP student chapter is co-hosting this event with the CSHP student chapters of UoP and Touro. Allergan has organized a fellowship roundtable discussion with fellows who are currently working at Allergan:
Friday, November 21, 2008, 5:30-6:30 pm, at UCSF
Dinner will be provided!
Christina Phan and David Truong, from Allergan, will be giving a presentation which will focus on the opportunities for pharmacists in industry and how to land those jobs and fellowhips.
Both are recent PharmD graduates (Class of '08 at USC, in Dr. Phan's case) on fellowships with the pharmaceutical company. Dr. Phan graduated from USC, and immediately got a fellowship with Allergan the summer after graduating.
Afterwards, we will all head down to Yancy's (a local bar) for a fun opportunity to hang out and to get to know the fellows in a more social setting.
Come meet the students at UCSF while networking with pharmacists in non-traditional career paths.
